Who We Are - NST and SDSU
Nuffer, Smith, Tucker
Nuffer, Smith, Tucker has been focused on developing strategic communications
solutions for clients for more than 35 years. The firm implemented
its first “social media” campaign in 1999 – well before the term
“social media” even existed with the development of the WD-40 Fan
Club, a community of more than 120,000 WD-40 enthusiasts. Since then,
the firm’s social media practice has grown and now includes social
media monitoring, strategy development and implementation – all with
the focus on extending clients’ brands online to develop sustainable,
long-term relationships. NST currently manages social media activities
for WD-40, McDonald’s of San Diego County, Chicken of the Sea and
ITW Space Bag. For more information, visit http://nstpr.net/blog/.
San Diego State University
San
Diego State University’s Marketing and Communications Department
is a national leader in the integration and implementation of social
media tools and strategies at an academic institution. SDSU reaches
out to and connects with students, faculty, alumni, media and community
members with such tools as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube,
incorporating social media strategies into everything from news
sharing to crisis communications. The marcomm team regularly presents
on social media tactics, most recently to such organizations as
the California Association of Public Information Officers, the
Municipal Managers Association of Southern California and the Council
for Advancement and Support of Education. To see SDSU's social
